    Description

Photographie Und Forschung- The Contax in the Service of Science. Issues 3 through 10, from Oct, 1935 through December, 1936. Bimontlly, consecutive run of 8 issues. Published by Zeiss Ikon AG, Dresden, Germany. Each issue 30 pages, softcover.
English language periodical designed to promote the serious use of the Contax camera and its various Zeiss lenses in the fields of science, medicine, engineering, astronomy and microphotography.
Most of the articles were written by professors at various institutions on Germany using the Contax for photographing astral phenomenon, medical procedures (some graphic closeup images of medical procedures), etc. using their Contax rangefinder cameras, using Tessar, Sonnar and other high performance lenses. Zeiss made the best lenses on the planet at that time, used by Leica, Zeiss, and other manufacturers. Quite interesting and loaded with photographs of their findings. Scarce, very good condition.
