ANTIQUE SPICE TIN
Neat antique GOLDEN RULE Brand spice tin measuring 4-7/8" tall. 3-1/4" wide and 2" deep. Featuring lithograph advertising with a lift-off lid, mustard color and black lettering with gold accents. Tin is still full, holding 1/2 pound CREAM TARTAR. Sold through The Citizens' Wholesale Supply Co., Columbus, Ohio, tin dates to the first quarter of the 1900s.
Condition is good with light age related scuffing and finish wear - the lid, as shown, has tiny areas on the edge where the metal has worn from overall surface rust - the powdered contents will leech out when the can is tipped - I was afraid to force removal of the lid. Looks great displayed with old spice tins - fun addition to any kitchen or collection!
