THIS LISTING IS FOR NINE ORIGINAL, CIRCA 1909 PRINTS PUBLISHED BY COLLIERS. Charles Dana Gibson was likely the most popular illustrator in the US at the beginning of the 20th Century. very actively creating cover and print illustrations for magazines, particularly Collier's and the old Life magazine. With a distinctive pen and ink illustration style, Gibson's prints were humorous and examined all facets of human relations. Gibson created the very popular cultural image of the modern woman, with her own opinions and independence, along with a swept up hair style that became very popular starting around 1900, with the famous "Gibson Girl" look. As a result of popular demand. Collier's offered groups of prints of the the CD Gibson illustrations that appeared in the magazine. These rare original prints will be an attractive addition for a Gibson and early illustrator collector. The dimensions of these prints is roughly 12" x 15.75-16" and will look wonderful framed.The prints are protected in an archival print sleeve, protected by stiff shipping materials and will be shipped using USPS First Class Mail.
