For your consideration:  A exceptional English trout fly
fishing reel is loaded with many great features not often
found on reels of lesser quality.
This small reel measures only 2 1/2 inches in diameter
and 15/16 of an inch across the inside spool.
The reel has a hard rubber face-plate that rises up to
to meet the perforated brass winding-plate with a
very
nice bone handle.  The rear side-plate is
also made of
hard rubber and both the front-plate
and the back-plate
have German silver bands.  The spool is made of brass
and it has a caged arbor with the cage pillars being made
of what appears to be German silver plated brass.  The
brass foot is full length, straight as an arrow and has cut
outs to make the whole reel lighter.  You would be hard
pressed to find a nicer small English fly fishing reel.
The reel turns smoothly with no catches or
hang-ups and has a built in click that is
loud and strong.  With all its original
screws and rivets, this example
would enhance any vintage
English fly reel collection.
