    Description

THIS LISTING IS FOR THE ORIGINAL HOWARD PYLE MAGAZINE ILLUSTRATION ONLY.  Howard Pyle, the "Father of American Illustrators", was the best known American illustrator in the late 19th Century.  This original classic magazine image, of pirates forcing a victim to walk the plank to his death, is likely Pyle's most famous pirate illustration.  This original illustration appeared, I believe, in Harper's circa 1895.  This magazine illustration has been carefully matted  and is ready to be framed, so i have not taken it out of its matted state, and would be a wonderful addition for a collector of Howard Pyle and early American illustration.
The cover is protected in an archival print sleeve, protected by stiff shipping materials and will be shipped using USPS First Class Mail.
I will consolidate shipping charges for multiple orders.  If you win multiple bids, do not pay immediately.  I will send you an invoice for your multiple purchases that will have combined shipping.  Thank you.
