*Up for sale here is a very handsome looking western saloon style of back bar bottle from Louisville, Kentucky. This is the second and last one of these that I have. This paneled example is near mint, and has seen no wear. Most all of the white enameling on the bottle is near immaculate, as seen here. There is a small chip out of part of the "O" in "OLD". The old clear glass is sparkling clean, and will sun purple over time if left exposed. This nice hand blown example would date from the 1890's era. Please see all the pictures.
*It is handsomely enameled on the bottle, as it boldly reads in fancy cursive lettering ~ "OLD / METROPOLITAN". A well known brand distilled in Louisville, Ky. Nice with the subtle vertical panels. This quart pre pro whiskey bottle measures 11 1/8 inches tall, and 3 3/8 inches in diameter. It has the polished pontiled base. You will be quite pleased with such a nice example as this one. What a classic piece of old time adverting whiskey distillery history, from the state of Kentucky.
