    Description

Here's an antique, quart size olive amber whiskey bottle that's blown into a three piece mold, dating to around the 1890's or so. Measures 11-1/4" tall by 2-3/4" diameter, with a hand tooled, drippy lip, tooling marks, and the base marked with
    AL 65
, possibly indicating that the bottle is American, had a label for W. Williams & Company, Aberdeen, Scotland, with the bottle filled with whisky in Chicago that had been shipped over in casks from Scotland. Either the " A" or the "L" could be the first initial of the unknown glassmaker.
In very good condition with only a small tooling mark flaw on the top of the lip- sort of an uneven shape to it. Also shows the remnants of a neck label, along with a few scuffs and some inside dirt.
