DESCRIPTION:
Vintage pair of pre pro whiskey flasks.
Smaller
one embossed: CARROLL RYE / L T & CO monogram. Bottom embossed: PATENTED. Measures 7¼" tall, tooled lip.
Larger
one embossed: BRANCH NO 22 - UNION MADE - G.B.B.A. (within diamond frame) / L T & CO monogram. Bottom embossed: FEB 4TH 1902 - PATENTED. Measures 10¾" tall, tooled lip.
L T & CO stands for LOUIS TAUSSIG of San Francisco, California
. They were in business from 1873 to 1918. Carroll Rye, a popular product, was named after a business partner. Pleasing amber coloration, curved backsides, nice form. A wonderful matched pair!
