Description

This is exceedingly rare! Maybe the only one in existence. This is a bar back bottle from Henry Fleckenstein Mid to late 1800's. It is etched Original Billie Taylor (one of their brands of whiskey). Henry Fleckenstein was a distiller / retailer in the mid 1800’s Mayer joined him later and it was Fleckenstein & Mayer from about 1880 and Mayer was added to the name until they ceased business in about 1915. So, this is pre 1880. Among their brands, either proprietary or imported included Bear Valley, Billie Taylor, Elk Tooth, High and Dry, Old Hickory, Our Monogram and The Penwick. A Google search of “Fleckenstein Portland” will yield a good bit of info on the company. Don’t miss out! * Note – this is from the same estate as the shoe brush I also have listed.
Size: All items shown against ruler or in hand or both in one picture to help you judge size. Bottle with Stopper in place is approximately 12 inches tall.
Condition: Nice vintage condition as pictured. The bottle has no chips or cracks, the has a sub-surface hit mark and some tiny nibbles around the bottom edge.  Please see all the pictures as they are part of the description.
I use a Sony Alpha 5100 24.3 mega pixel camera with macro lens (extreme close up) this draws out many flaws that are not noticeable in hand. Check my feedback; in most cases items will look better in hand than the pictures show
