John MacPherson brass English trout fly fishing reel.
This small reel measures only 2 1/4 inches in diameter
and 13/16 of an inch across the inside spool.
The reel is marked as follows in block letters -
John MacPherson
Inverness
The reel is of superior quality and in all original
condition with a
full length unaltered foot.
With
a nice bone
handle this Hercules style reel
has
an alloy
frame with a brass winding plate and
an
aluminum spool.
The reel turns smoothly with no catches or
hang-ups and has a built in click that is
loud and strong.  With all its original
screws and rivets, this example
would enhance any vintage
English fly reel collection.
