    Description

    Unopened and full round Northland brand iodized table Salt cardboard container, made by Crookston Stores, Virginia, Bemidji, and International Falls, Minn. Undated and I am guessing that it is from the 1950's based on the art work. Heavy cardboard with paper over it. Measures 3 1/4"  in diameter and 5 1/2" tall and the net weight when produced was 1 pound 10 ounces. What is so special about this container is that on the front there is a very nice color drawing of a wilderness scene, with a sole pioneer man in a canoe getting ready to go through some rough river water. And then when you look at the back there is an additional superb drawing of a salt shaker in outstanding colors. Graphics don't come much better than this.  Very good condition, with no rips, tears or indentations.  There is some minor paper loss on the back, to the right of the salt shaker in the blue area.  Pour spout at top still has original paper seal over it.  Item has been shrink wrapped to help protect its outstanding condition.   From a pet free and smoke free home-the item has no odor.  A very desirable and seldem seen cardboard salt container.  Nothing else like it on ebay and nothing identical  sold recently.
