    What you are viewing is a very nice Vintage Frank's Crushed Red Pepper Tin.  This is a unique large 10 ounce size.  It measures 6 inches tall by 4 inches across and is 2 1/2 inches thick.  Frank's Spice Tins of this size are very hard to find.  It is in good condition for its age with patina on the top and bottom and minor scratches from daily use.
    In 1896, Jacob, Emil and Charles Frank founded the Frank Tea & Spice Company in Cincinnati, Ohio.  They originally provided small packages of whole and ground spices.  Later they expanded to teas, spices, peanut butter, olives and olive oil.  In 1969 The Frank Tea & Spice Co as well as the Dove Brand was sold to Frank Foods, INC.
    This tin would be a wonderful display or a great addition to  any collection.
